Your PDF file never leaves your device. Uploading, editing, OCR (for scanned pages), and saving all happen inside your own browser using JavaScript. PDFPencil's servers never receive or store the contents of your document — there is nowhere for us to send it even if we wanted to.

What we do collect

To run accounts and credits, we store:

Your email address (from Google login or email/password signup)
Your credit balance and a record of credit pack purchases (package, amount, date) — no document content, just the transaction itself

That's it. We don't track what you edit, don't see your document content, and don't build a profile of your usage.

Payments

Payments are processed by Instamojo. PDFPencil does not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details — that information is handled entirely by Instamojo under their own privacy and security practices.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers
We don't run ad trackers on this site
We don't read or retain the content of any PDF you edit

Analytics

We may use basic, anonymous page-view analytics (which pages get visited, roughly how many people) to understand traffic — this does not include document content and is not tied to your identity.
